Horizon BCBSNJ’s Regional Programs of Quality evaluates and reports quality clinical information of participating hospitals for Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG) and angioplasty procedures. Members and physicians may use this information when evaluating where to have a scheduled CABG or angioplasty performed.

Various independent sources were used to develop this information. These sources used evidence-based criteria from MedPar data and national guidelines.

The participating hospitals in New Jersey that have been recognized as Horizon BCBSNJ’s 2005 Regional Programs of Quality for CABG and angioplasty procedures:

• Hackensack University Medical Center
• Jersey Shore University Medical Center
• Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital
• The HEART HOSPITAL of New Jersey at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston and at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center

These facilities may best fit members’ health care needs when coordinating CABG and angioplasty procedures.
