Breast cancer is one of the most common types of cancer among women in this country. The best way to nurture your breast health is to have a healthy lifestyle and do everything possible to detect cancer early. When breast cancer is detected earlier, it can be easier to treat, often successfully.

This Week's Living Healthy Tip: A mammogram is an x-ray picture of the breast. It can find breast cancer that is too small for you or your health care provider to feel. Talk with hour health care provider about your chances of getting breast cancer, and then decide when you should start having mammograms, and how often to have them. The American Cancer Society recommends women age 40 and older should have a screening mammogram every year.
