Our Precious Additions^® Prenatal Program helps deliver healthy babies.
The choices you make during the nine months of your pregnancy can give your baby a healthy start in life. Our prenatal program, Precious Additions, helps you make healthy choices for you and your baby.

Who can enroll?
This program is available to Horizon HMO, Horizon POS, Horizon Direct Access, NJ DIRECT, and certain National Account (PPO) members who are using a participating Ob/Gyn.  After your first prenatal visit, you can enroll in the program by calling Member Services using the telephone number found on the back of your Horizon BCBSNJ ID card.  Click here to enroll online today!    

What can I expect?
Once enrolled, you'll receive:

• Information about receiving up to a $50 reimbursement after attending one prenatal class.
• Brochures explaining the importance of prenatal care.
• Reminders about the importance of receiving postpartum care.
• Information about childhood immunizations.

Does this program end once the baby is born?

The program doesn't end after your baby is born. We'll send you a reminder to schedule a visit with your Ob/Gyn within six weeks after the delivery of your baby. Visiting your doctor during this time allows him/her to monitor and help you with any physical, emotional, and social changes experienced after giving birth. In addition, you will receive reminders about the importance of immunizing your child.
