Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey and East Orange General Hospital (EOGH) have reached a long-term rate agreement that keeps EOGH in network for all Horizon BCBSNJ members.  Under the terms of the agreement, all Horizon BCBSNJ members can continue to access EOGH at an in-network level of benefits (as long as prior authorization is obtained when required).

“We are pleased that East Orange General Hospital will stay an in-network facility for our 3.6 million members,” said James Albano, Vice President of Healthcare Services, Horizon BCBSNJ.  “East Orange General Hospital provides high-quality health care and good value for our members.”

Members have a choice of network hospitals throughout New Jersey, and nearby in New York, Pennsylvania and Delaware.  Members may search for hospitals participating in the Horizon Hospital Network by using the Provider Directory search tool on this Web site.

In case of a medical emergency, members should go to the nearest emergency facility, without worrying about network affiliations.  If possible, they should call their physician before going to the emergency facility, or contact their physician as soon as possible after receiving emergency services to coordinate follow-up care.
