Horizon NJ Health Applauds Federal Legislation Expanding the SCHIP Program

Horizon NJ Health, the State’s largest provider of NJ FamilyCare health insurance, said today that it applauds the signage of federal legislation that will help ensure that the children of low income working families receive needed medical care. In New Jersey, the federal SCHIP program is known as NJ FamilyCare.
“SCHIP is vital to protecting and preserving the health of children in low income working families both in New Jersey and across the nation,” said Karen L. Clark, President and Chief Operating Officer for Horizon NJ Health. “This legislation takes the right approach to providing needed health care to this vulnerable population.”
