Both hospitals are located in New York just north of Sussex County, New Jersey, in Port Jervis (Bon Secours) and Warwick (St. Anthony).  The two hospitals will provide Horizon BCBSNJ members living in that area with additional and convenient options for full acute care hospital services, including both maternity and emergency room services.

Recently, Newton Memorial Hospital unilaterally terminated its agreement with Horizon BCBSNJ leaving the company’s hospital network and many Sussex County residents with fewer options for hospital care.  The addition of Bon Secours and St. Anthony hospitals to Horizon BCBSNJ’s network will provide Sussex County members with new options for hospital services.

Horizon BCBSNJ continually looks for ways to expand health care services for our members and maintain a strong hospital network.  In recent months Horizon BCBSNJ negotiated agreements with Memorial Sloan Kettering Basking Ridge, The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the University of Pennsylvania Hospital System.
