Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey and Capital Health announced today they have reached an agreement that will keep Capital Health’s Mercer Campus in-network and bring the Fuld Campus in-network for all Horizon BCBSNJ members. Previously, the Fuld Campus was only in-network for Horizon BCBSNJ members in the State Health Benefits Program (SHBP).“We are pleased to have an agreement that will provide all our members with affordable, in-network access to both Capital Health hospitals,” said Christy Bell, Senior Vice President of Healthcare Management at Horizon BCBSNJ. “We appreciate the efforts of the Public Advocate’s Office in helping this come to a successful resolution.” “Importantly, this will provide continued access to Capital Health hospitals, facilities and physicians for Horizon members,” said Al Maghazehe, CEO & President of Capital Health. “We greatly value the relationships we have with our patients and look forward to continuing to provide them with the high quality healthcare they’ve come to expect from us.” “I wish to thank Gov. Jon Corzine for intervening in this matter and offering the mediation services of the Office of the Public Advocate,” said Maghazehe. “The Public Advocate’s Office of Dispute Settlement brought both parties back to the table and worked very hard to help make this agreement possible.”
