What is a Podcast?
The word "Podcast" is the combination of the words "iPod", Apple's popular portable music player, and "broadcast".
Podcasts are audio programs available on the Internet that you can download and play on your computer or portable
media/MP3 player. You can subscribe to a podcast and automatically receive new episodes/editions by using "Podcatching"
software such as Apple's iTunes. Podcatching software also makes it easier to transfer the Podcast to your MP3 player.
Do I need an iPod to listen to Podcasts?
No. You can listen to podcasts on any device that plays MP3 files, including your computer.
What topics are covered in the "Making Healthcare Work" Podcasts?
The "Making Healthcare Work" podcast series will discuss topics geared to make you better informed about healthcare
services and how to use them.
What software do I need?
On many websites, you can listen to a podcast by simply clicking on the appropriate link. To subscribe to a podcast
and automatically receive new, updated podcasts as they are made available, you must use "podcatching" software such
