Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey is sponsoring the 9th Annual Women's Heart Week, hosted by Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. This program was created by the Women's Heart Foundation (WHF) to raise awareness about how heart disease uniquely affects women, educate women as health care consumers, and support women who want to make healthy lifestyle choices to reduce the risk of heart disease. Heart disease is the number-one cause of death for women aged 35 and older. Most people are not aware of how common and deadly heart disease is in women.
